RAY ESTOLANO, ESQ.

Ray Estolano spent time as an attorney at both the Imperial County and San Diego County District Attorney's Office.

At the Imperial County District Attorney's Office, he prosecuted cases ranging from driving under the influence to homicide. In one of his first trials, he defeated the then current president of the Imperial County Bar Association.

At the San Diego District Attorney's Office, Ray Estolano was responsible for handling some of the most complicated interstate child support cases and was also experienced in arguing in the child support court. His greatest satisfaction came in being able to help poor single women who thought they would never receive a penny of support for their children.
As a prosecutor, Ray was known for his pleasant, but aggressive courtroom style. He was sometimes referred to as the "smiling D.A." by frustrated defense attorneys who witnessed his unflappable demeanor. However, Ray always maintained cordial relations with defense attorneys, judges and prosecutors alike.

Ray Antonio Estolano is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law and the University of California of Berkeley. As a U.C. Berkeley student, Ray almost won local office. Two local papers and the local Congressman endorsed him for the office. One of the papers commented that this young student was "bright and dynamic" and had a great future ahead of him. As a law student, Ray was president of the Latino law student association.

However, the best education that Ray received came from working in his family's leather business since the age of eight. Ray's father never let him forget that Ray was to be a role model for his Mexican and Chinese relatives. Ray also never forgot that hard work was essential to success in any field.
